Bologna, 14 January: FAI National Convention to re-launch social anarchism

 

Invited to participate, the FdCA delegation contributes with an intervention by Donato Romito on the minimum programme, and indicates its desire to begin a process of debate. The initiative comes to nothing.

 

Rome, 20-21 January: National meeting to examine the outcome of the “Ship to Bosnia” campaign

 

An FdCA delegation takes part and proposes that remaining funds be sent to Tuzla or to the IWA which had promoted the campaign.

 

Cremona, 28 January: Anti-Clerical Tour

 

An initiative of the CSA Kavarna social centre. Conference by Gianni Cimbalo of the FdCA on “The Concordat, old and new”.

An initiative at the town hall, jointly organized by the FdCA's Fano branch together with other local groups on the French nuclear tests in the Pacific. Speakers include Saverio Craparo on behalf of the FdCA.

Florence, 9 March: Meeting between FdCA and Alternative Libertaire (France)

 

Preparation and joint announcement of an international meeting to take place in Lyons (France). The current situation of French and Italian trade unions.

 

Lyons, 30-31 March: International European Meeting

Premises of the CNT-f

 

Called by the FdCA and Alternative Libertaire (France). Also participating: Organisation Socialiste Libertaire (Switzerland), Workers Solidarity Movement (Ireland), Sveriges Arbetares Centralorganisation (Sweden), Confederación General del Trabajo (Spain). Topics discussed:

  • The struggle against unemployment and for the re-distribution of wealth;

  • A red'n'black sector in the anti-G7 demos on 21-22-23 June;

  • Co-operation between the organizations present.

The FdCA pushes for greater cooperation between the political organizations and agrees to draw up a document setting out an analysis of the economic phase. The OSL agress to draw up a document on the social struggles. The FdCA delegation is composed of Lia Didero, Saverio Craparo and Donato Romito.
