Madrid (Spain), 29 April: Extraordinary Congress of the CNT-U (renovada)

 

Congress called following the decision of the Madrid Supreme Court giving the CNT-AIT exclusive use of the name CNT, together with everything which had been confiscated from them under the Franco regime. Solidarity messages read out from the FdCA, the PAI and the FCLL (Ligurian Libertarian Communist Federation).

 

Cremona (Lombardy), 30 April: "Social Transformations & The Political Phase: proposals and strategies"

Discussion group promoted by the FdCA and the PAI on the economy, social classes, syndicalism, the environment, the State. Substantial differences emerge between the FdCA and the PAI on the role of the political organization, on the relationship with the CGIL, on the European elections and on electoral aliances that seek to represent the movements. Introductory presentation by Saverio Craparo (FdCA).

Modena (Emilia Romagna), 29 August: Letter from the Partito Anarchico Italiano

 

The membership of the PAI communicates its decision to join the environmentalist electoral coalition, "Arcobaleno", to the Italian and international anarchist communist movement, thereby breaking all links with anarchist communist politics. Relations with the FdCA definitively broken off and all hypotheses of unification ended.
