8th National Congress of the FdCA

Fano, 31st October - 1st November 2010
at the FdCA premises, Piazza Capuana 4, Fano

Following the inauguration of the new premises of the Centro di Documentazione “Franco Salomone” on the afternoon of Saturday 30th October, the FdCA will be holding its 8th National Congress at the same location, on Sunday 31st October and Monday 1st November 2010.

After a year of preparation and debate, the FdCA will be meeting to approve documents of political strategy and general tactics on areas of struggle including energy and the environment, neighbourhood movements and struggles, labour struggles, and the economic situation both in Italy and internationally.

At this year's Congress, the FdCA will be updating its political positions, adapting to the changing situation around us, in international capitalism, the role of the State, the future for our struggles in the community and in the workplace. We expect this Congress to provide renewed unity in our political strategy, which is the basis of the political organization of anarchist communists, in Italy and throughout the world.

The Congress will also be tasked with drawing up a document setting out the programme for political action in the current political and economic situation on the part of the FdCA both on a national and international level. Our experiences of the struggles and movements since our 7th Congress in 2006, together with careful reflection of the lessons to be learned, will go towards the creation of a plan of action and initiative which can support the role of anarchist communists in the mass organizations, in the movements and anti-capitalist, anti-authoritarian struggles for equality and liberty.
